Job Summary

This is a key, full-time, permanent role for an experienced Radiochemist within the Clinic and Polyclinic for Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Bonn. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical routine use and the introduction of new radioactive drugs, ensuring strict compliance with GMP regulations. A major focus of the role involves actively participating in and developing radiation protection protocols, including taking on the role of Radiation Protection Officer once qualified. Furthermore, the role requires involvement in quality assurance within the laboratory setting and contributing to the establishment of a large, GMP-compliant radiochemistry laboratory expected to be completed in 2025. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in chemistry or pharmacy, a completed doctorate, and prior experience in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly within a GMP environment, who seeks a challenging and diverse role in a leading university hospital.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy; Completed Doctorate; Specialist knowledge in Radiation Protection S 4.1 or willingness to acquire it

Experience

  • Professional experience related to the manufacturing of radiopharmaceuticals in clinical, research, and/or industrial settings
  • Experience in a GMP environment is ideal
