Job Summary

This role involves acting as a key IT Specialist within the innovative "Studium uMINTerpretiert" project at HFT Stuttgart, focusing specifically on the processing and management of Microcredentials (stepwise acquired study achievements). Day-to-day tasks include gathering requirements, selecting, planning, and deploying a new system for microcredential IT processing. A core responsibility is integrating this system into the existing university IT infrastructure by programming and configuring necessary interfaces and APIs. The specialist will also evaluate and adapt the system post-deployment and ensure effective knowledge transfer and training for end-users, including professors and student administration staff. Key qualifications include a relevant university degree, several years of experience with API configuration (e.g., REST), and database management (e.g., MySQL). This fixed-term position offers significant scope for design and flexible work arrangements within a dynamic higher education environment.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of a relevant university degree, preferably in Computer Science or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in configuring and programming interfaces/APIs and related technologies (REST or similar)
  • Experience with Campus Management or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of IT operations within a university/higher education institution
