Job Summary

This role seeks a proactive and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the complete building operations for the German Museum's diverse, listed properties. You will be responsible for ensuring all commercial, structural, and technical building management aspects are handled efficiently and sustainably, meeting all owner and user obligations. Key daily tasks include leading a technical team of caretakers and workshop staff, coordinating external service providers (cleaning, maintenance, technical operations), planning and controlling maintenance, procurement according to public tender law, and developing optimized energy management concepts. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Building Services Engineering, Technical Facility Management, or a related field, possesses several years of relevant professional experience, and has proven leadership skills. Knowledge of GEFMA certified CAFM software is essential, alongside a strong commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency. Required Skills
