Job Summary

This role calls for a talented Lead Developer to drive the conception, development, and operation of highly scalable, resilient, Java-based backend services and APIs. You will be instrumental in shaping architectural and design decisions, prioritizing cloud-native principles, maintainability, and resilience. A core responsibility involves ensuring robust system quality by implementing comprehensive testing strategies (Unit, Integration, E2E), conducting code reviews, and utilizing modern Observability practices and tools like OpenTelemetry. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and evolving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), optimizing application and database performance, and collaborating closely within an agile team structure. The ideal candidate possesses multi-year Java expertise, deep knowledge of Spring Boot/Quarkus, relational/multimodal databases, and proficiency in API designs (synchronous and asynchronous). This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced skills in Cloud-native architectures, containerization (Kubernetes), and message brokers, all while contributing to a vital digital infrastructure provider committed to community and growth.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Information Technology, or comparable qualification; alternatively, a technical vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Multi-year Java expertise in developing modern backend systems (Spring Boot/Quarkus)
  • Multi-year experience in backend development (required if technical education is alternative to degree)
  • Professional experience with testing strategies, CI/CD processes, and Observability concepts
  • Experience handling message brokers and cloud messaging services
