Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced FPGA and Hardware Engineer to contribute significantly to the development and enhancement of sophisticated FPGA-based embedded system components in Erlangen. The core responsibilities involve comprehensive circuit design, emphasizing analog technology and dedicated FPGA development. You will be responsible for creating robust firmware, primarily utilizing VHDL and potentially C, and executing rigorous hardware, firmware, and system tests to ensure quality and performance. A key part of the job is tracking technical requirements and actively participating in the creation of requirement specifications, technical documentation, and design specifications. Candidates must possess a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with more than five years of professional experience in hardware and FPGA development. This position offers responsible tasks, independent work, and a permanent contract within the Bertrandt Group, a major player in the international automotive and aerospace industries.
