Job Summary

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a dedicated Medical Physicist to join the Clinic for Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology at the prestigious University Hospital Bonn (UKB), starting January 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for all radiation therapeutic treatments. Key responsibilities include acting as a Radiation Protection Officer, performing rigorous quality assurance checks, developing and implementing complex, individualized treatment plans, and actively contributing to the introduction and optimization of new technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, and Brachytherapy. The role requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration with medical staff, MTAs, and IT, alongside active participation in research, teaching, and scientific publications. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Medical Physics and possess certified expertise in radiation protection for both teletherapy and brachytherapy, coupled with relevant clinical experience. The position offers significant scope for scientific development and competitive tariff-based compensation.
