Job Summary

The Leibniz Institute on Aging (FLI) in Jena is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Kirstein Research Group, focusing on the biochemistry of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. This role involves functional analyses of molecular chaperones, specifically investigating their role in regulating the folding of amyloid proteins like Huntingtin, Abeta, and Tau in vitro. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and implementing new workflows to characterize protein assemblies, developing experimental strategies, and rigorous data analysis and documentation. A key component of this position is teaching, including coordinating and instructing practical courses for BSc biochemistry students and supervising MSc students.
