Job Summary

This role involves contributing significantly to an ongoing development project focused on enhancing a core component utilizing Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware development, including detailed circuit design encompassing analog technology and FPGA architecture. Key day-to-day tasks include creating robust firmware, primarily using VHDL, and ideally C, alongside conducting rigorous hardware, firmware, and system tests. You will also manage requirements tracking and contribute to the creation of specifications and technical documentation. This position requires strong expertise in embedded systems and offers a long-term assignment with Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG in Erlangen, providing excellent compensation and the potential for permanent employment. Candidates must possess a strong background, evidenced by more than five years of relevant professional experience, and fluency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Automation Technology, ideally specializing in Embedded Systems. Comparable technical knowledge (e.g., certified technician with long-term experience) is also acceptable.
