System Engineer - Server and Virtualization Infrastructure | System Engineer (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves supporting the setup, operation, and continuous development of complex IT infrastructures, focusing specifically on server and virtualization environments within DHL Group's Post & Parcel division in Germany. The System Engineer will be responsible for administering complex server systems and virtualization environments, particularly using VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter in a production setting. Key duties include managing storage systems (SAN/NAS/iSCSI), implementing secure IT solutions in collaboration with IT Security, and coordinating external service providers. Candidates must possess a relevant IT education and more than three years of experience operating and developing server and virtualization infrastructures, coupled with strong knowledge of VMware and storage/backup systems. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to contribute to the stability and efficiency of IT infrastructure across approximately 220 sorting and operations sites, driving digitalization and implementing new technologies.
