Job Summary

This is a two-year fixed-term System Administrator position within the Federal Office of Justice (BfJ) in Bonn, focusing on maintaining and developing the agency's critical network, security, and communication infrastructure across multiple locations. The administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, error analysis, and performance optimization of networking systems, including Routing, Switching, WAN, LAN, and VoIP. Key duties also involve the conceptual development and planning of system advancements, comprehensive IT documentation, and coordinating external support services. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field such as IT, Mathematics, or Engineering, coupled with fundamental knowledge of IT security systems. The role requires fluent German (C1 level), strong creative problem-solving skills, and the willingness to undergo a high-level security clearance (SÜ2). Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or relevant Natural Sciences with an IT focus.

Experience
