Job Summary

This role as a Hardware/FPGA Development Engineer, based in Erlangen, involves the design, development, and refinement of complex FPGA and hardware components for high-tech industries. Daily tasks include detailed circuit design, focusing on analog technology and FPGA architecture, as well as creating firmware, primarily using VHDL, and ideally C. You will be responsible for conducting thorough hardware, firmware, and system tests, managing requirements, and generating comprehensive technical documentation and specifications. The position requires close collaboration with project partners throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology (or a Technician qualification), possesses relevant professional experience in FPGA and hardware development, and demonstrates profound knowledge of circuit design and testing procedures. This is a permanent contract offering the opportunity to contribute technical expertise to challenging projects for renowned clients, provided the candidate possesses the required strong German language skills (B2+).
