This role involves developing cutting-edge automation concepts primarily for special machinery, focusing specifically on battery recycling plants. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for creating PLC programs and standardized functional libraries, utilizing Beckhoff control systems (TwinCAT 3 and/or CoDeSys). A significant part of the job includes close coordination with electrical planners to ensure seamless technical implementation. Day-to-day tasks also encompass commissioning the systems, performing test runs, and resolving operational faults. Furthermore, the role provides technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting during operation.
