Job Summary

This Data Engineer role, situated within the Global IT Advanced Analytics & Data Insights team at a global market leader in medical technology, focuses on driving the company's transition to a data-driven enterprise. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional Data Product Teams, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to design and implement robust, data-based solutions. Key daily activities include developing modern data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks, integrating diverse internal and external data sources into the Azure Data Lake, and monitoring pipeline performance to ensure optimal functionality. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable quantitative field and possesses at least five years of professional experience utilizing the Azure Data Engineering stack or comparable cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Expertise in Python, general software development principles (DevOps, Git), and database management (relational/NoSQL) is essential.
