Job Summary

This Lead Solution Architect role serves as a key digitalization partner for the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), focusing specifically on solutions within the Geoinformation Service (GeoInfoDBw). Day-to-day responsibilities involve the initial assessment and analysis of new IT orders, creating solution sketches, and coordinating the overall technical design with internal clients and domain architects. The architect will strategically guide projects, manage overarching architectural processes, and ensure the consistency, quality, and security of complex, holistic IT solutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in solution architecture, infrastructure, application migration, and cloud platforms, coupled with knowledge of industry-standard requirements engineering (IREB) and architectural frameworks (TOGAF, NAF). This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Germany's security by modernizing one of the nation's largest IT infrastructures.
