Job Summary

This Senior Service Technician role is crucial for ensuring the operational stability and security of complex IT infrastructures supporting the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Based in Berlin or Strausberg, the technician will be responsible for providing decentralized, on-site Second-Level Support across over 50 locations. Day-to-day tasks include the tool-supported acceptance, analysis, and resolution of incidents across PC, telephony, LAN, and WAN environments, as well as managing equipment relocations and performing DGUV V3 inspections. A key responsibility is acting as the central BWI contact person for local users, ensuring strict adherence to specified reaction and resolution times. Candidates must possess a completed IT qualification (e.g., IT System Electronics/IT Specialist), a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, and comprehensive knowledge of ticketing systems, IT processes, and ITIL frameworks. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national security through challenging digitalization projects, working closely with major technology partners.

Education

Completed vocational training in IT System Electronics or as an IT Specialist, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Experience applying IT Service Management processes
  • Experience in customer projects within the industrial or public service sector (advantageous)
