Job Summary

This permanent Research Associate position is based in Munich at the Regional Center of the Bavarian Cancer Registry (KR6), focusing on clinical-epidemiological tasks critical to public health. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing organizational and technical support, processing and verifying cancer registry reports for completeness, and assisting authorized applicants in utilizing regional data according to the Bavarian Cancer Registry Act (BayKRegG). You will actively participate in internal quality assurance, intensify communication with reporting institutions, and develop automated routines for efficient data preparation and maintenance. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biometrics, Statistics, or Public Health, coupled with strong knowledge of oncology and cancer registration processes. Proficiency in database querying (SQL) and statistical software (R) is essential. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma (University level) in Epidemiology, Biometrics, Statistics, Health Sciences / Public Health, or another relevant course of study.

  • Experience in database querying (SQL)
  • Professional experience in data list comparison and consistency checking
