Job Summary

This role supports the Chair of Integrated Digital Systems and Circuit Design by managing the critical IT infrastructure necessary for cutting-edge research and education. The specialist will be responsible for the full system administration of software, hardware, and networks, ensuring the design workflow—from algorithm development to physical measurement of circuits—is continuously supported. A significant part of the job involves demanding software development tasks, planning and supervising student practicals, and automating workflows through scripting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possesses deep expertise in C++ and Python, coupled with experience operating heterogeneous computer networks. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with an international student body and research team, continuously adapting the technical environment to meet evolving teaching and research demands in areas like neuromorphic computing.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor) in a relevant field or comparable qualification (e.g., Mathematical-Technical Software Developer with a Bachelor's degree)

Experience

  • Experience in the independent setup and operation of heterogeneous computer networks
  • Experience in the maintenance and further development of IT hardware in learning rooms
  • Experience in the university landscape and university processes, especially in the IT area (a plus)
