Job Summary

This position is for a Server Administrator within the Medical IT (MIT) Infrastructure department, focusing on maintaining and expanding the IT Data Center for a critical infrastructure organization (KRITIS). The core responsibilities include ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of complex IT environments. Daily tasks involve the administration of virtualization platforms (VMWare, KVM), storage systems, SAN environments, and managing server systems (MS Windows and/or Linux) and associated services (e.g., DNS). The role requires proactive involvement in IT projects, from initial planning and introduction through to ongoing support, and developing concepts for the strategic expansion of hospital IT infrastructure. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional qualification, coupled with several years of proven experience in system integration and IT administration. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, solution-oriented, and fluent in German.
