Job Summary

This role involves ensuring consumer protection and fair competition by performing technical inspections and conformity assessments of measuring instruments in the field of metrology. The successful candidate will primarily work in the field service (Außendienst) within the Recklinghausen Metrology Office, focusing on devices for liquids (excluding water), density, non-automatic and automatic scales, weights, and grain/oilseed measuring instruments. Key responsibilities include the technical testing and conformity assessment of flow and static liquid measuring systems, such as those found at tank trucks, storage facilities, and fueling stations (including hydrogen and natural gas). Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Diploma degree in a relevant engineering or natural science field, possess a Class B driving license, and be physically capable of working at heights. This is a crucial position supporting the digitalization of metrology and the expansion of hydrogen technology competencies, offering a varied and interesting full-time role, initially on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
