Job Summary

This is a high-impact role within a leading global pharmaceutical company, focusing on the development and lifecycle management of active substances. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, primarily responsible for managing all downstream work packages, troubleshooting process transfer projects, and ensuring seamless execution of lifecycle initiatives. Key daily tasks involve generating comprehensive regulatory documentation for submissions, developing and implementing new concepts in active substance research, and coordinating activities across various internal disciplines and international sites. The role requires a strong scientific background (PhD or Master's with extensive experience) in Biotechnology or Chemistry, coupled with deep expertise in process workup, especially involving mammalian cells, scale-up/scale-down methodologies, and statistical design of experiments (DoE). This position offers the chance to influence multidisciplinary teams, contribute to life-improving medicine development, and provides excellent opportunities for permanent employment following an initial temporary contract.

Required Skills

Education

PhD or Master's Degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, or Chemistry

Experience

  • Initial relevant professional experience (for PhD holders)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience (for Master's holders)
  • Experience in process transfer or commercial manufacturing (advantageous)
  • Leadership qualities and ability to influence multidisciplinary teams without direct disciplinary authority
  • Professional experience in adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks under time pressure
