Job Summary

This senior leadership role requires a solution-oriented, strategically adept executive to lead the 'Information Systems' department at the Statistical Office of Rhineland-Palatinate. The Head of Department will assume technical, personnel, organizational, and financial responsibility for diverse IT functions, ranging from infrastructure and applications to critical large-scale projects like parliamentary elections and the Agricultural Business Database (LBD). Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing strategic digitalization goals, overseeing IT procedures for elections and collaborative programming, and representing the office in high-level IT steering committees. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree (Master/Diplom) in a MINT field, preferably Computer Science, coupled with extensive leadership experience in complex IT environments, software development, and data management.
