Job Summary
This leadership role involves steering the strategic direction and operations of the Analysis, Regional Data, and National Accounts department within the State Statistical Office. The successful candidate will provide overall organizational, technical, and economic management for a team of approximately 22 scientifically focused employees. Day-to-day responsibilities include advancing the statistical analysis, evaluation, and publication spectrum using established scientific methods, actively collaborating with governmental ministries, municipalities, and academic institutions, and representing the office through public presentations and networking. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant scientific field and extensive leadership experience in a science-based setting. It offers a unique opportunity to provide directional impulses on current societal and economic issues within a secure, indefinite public sector contract.
Required Skills
Education
Master's or Diploma degree in Statistics, Administrative Science, Economics, Political Science, or Sociology
Experience
- Several years of leadership or responsible participation in a science-based institution or institute
- Several years of profound experience with scientific evaluations and analyses
- Public sector applicants must hold at least status office A 14/15 LBesG or comparable TV-L compensation
