This role involves acting as a crucial interface, integrating qualitative, quantitative, and economic healthcare supply needs across finance, risk structure equalization (RSA), and supply management departments within a large German health insurance company (hkk Krankenkasse). The specialist will focus on identifying dependencies and unusual behavioral patterns in healthcare utilization through sector-specific and cross-sector quantitative analyses. Key responsibilities include validating hypotheses, interpreting analytical results, creating forecasts, and collaboratively developing control strategies with supply management to optimize healthcare provision based on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate holds a degree in fields like Business Informatics, Statistics, or Health Sciences, or a relevant professional qualification, coupled with practical experience handling large datasets (especially physician, pharmaceutical, and hospital data). Proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and analytical software (like Stata, SPSS, SAS, or R) is required, alongside strong analytical and conceptual thinking.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Social Insurance Specialist, ideally with further training as a Health Insurance Business Administrator, OR a completed degree in Business Informatics, Statistics, or Business, Social, or Health Sciences with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Practical experience in handling large datasets, particularly from physician, pharmaceutical, and hospital sectors
  • Professional experience in a relevant field such as Business Informatics, Statistics, or Health Sciences
