This role involves acting as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) within an Agile Release Train (ART) utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in a Large Solution context, focusing on the development of the core IT system for the German Pension Insurance. The RTE will ensure the effectiveness and productivity of the ART, guiding approximately eight diverse interdisciplinary teams through their challenges. Key responsibilities include fostering effective team collaboration, ensuring timely delivery of results in partnership with the Product Manager and System Architect, and actively promoting agile values and culture within the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant university degree (preferably in IT or Engineering), multi-year professional experience as a Scrum Master or RTE, and proficiency with agile tools like Jira and Confluence. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) preferably in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Technology (MINT), or equivalent qualification (e.g., IT-specific certification)
Experience
- Multi-year, current practical professional experience as a Scrum Master or RTE (or comparable roles in agile implementation organizations)
- Experience in planning, coordinating, or controlling workflows and monitoring work results (e.g., through (partial) project management experience)
- Experience in the introduction and promotion of DevOps practices

- Willingness to undertake occasional, generally well-planned business trips within Germany; Readiness to undergo potential security checks by the DRV Bund (due to operating critical infrastructure)
