Job Summary

This Cell Fermentation Scientist role, based in Penzberg, offers an ambitious professional the opportunity to significantly contribute to the development and manufacturing of groundbreaking medical solutions, specifically diagnostic antibodies. The successful candidate will join the Fermentation & Cell Culture group within MSAT, focusing on introducing new products, optimizing existing fermentation processes (including perfusion and process intensification strategies), and troubleshooting production issues. Key responsibilities involve conducting cell culture fermentations up to 10 L in a laboratory setting, monitoring routine production batches according to strict GMP guidelines, performing essential analytical testing, and preparing comprehensive data reports. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant Natural Science field (Biotechnology, Biology, or Bioengineering) paired with proven professional experience in fermentation technology and bioreactor operation. This position requires an independent, goal-oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate across interfaces.
