Job Summary

This critical role supports Airbus Defence and Space in Manching by ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of complex Avionics Test Facilities, Real-Time Test Systems, and Simulation Environments, specifically focusing on the Eurofighter (EF) Avionics RIG. The engineer's daily responsibilities include supporting system testers, performing detailed troubleshooting to rapidly restore test facility functionality, and resolving issues within the associated IT infrastructure. A significant part of the job involves the independent development, implementation, and integration of system modifications and changes, alongside maintaining comprehensive documentation and processes. Candidates must possess a completed degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification, coupled with several years of professional experience in IT/Information Systems. Proficiency in scripting, network technology, and collaboration tools like Jira/Confluence is essential, along with fluent command of both German and English. This position offers an exciting opportunity within the demanding field of aviation and aerospace engineering.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification, or further qualification as an Electrical Technician.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT / Information Systems.
  • Professional experience in operating and maintaining complex test facilities and simulation environments.
  • Experience with developing, implementing, and integrating system modifications.
  • Extensive professional experience required if possessing technical vocational training instead of a university degree.
