Job Summary

This role requires an experienced IT Support Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of the development platform, primarily focusing on Microsoft Windows systems for servers, storage, clients, and networking at Airbus Defence and Space. Key responsibilities include automating configuration settings and deployments for both servers and clients, managing user accounts, and rigorously implementing IT security guidelines based on BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. The engineer will also handle backups, create detailed documentation, and coordinate technical requirements with internal projects and external IT service providers. Essential qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, professional experience in network configuration (NTP), virtualization (VMware), and deep knowledge of core IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, and CI/CD tools. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, alongside familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
