Job Summary
The Leuphana University Lüneburg is seeking a motivated and responsible IT Support Specialist to join the Media and Information Center (MIZ) team, focusing on IT services and library systems. This role involves providing essential support to university staff and students, addressing a wide range of general and library-specific hardware and software issues via counter service, telephone, remote access, and on-site visits. Key responsibilities include managing personal and public computer workstations, configuring hardware and software, and maintaining peripheral devices such as printers and scanners. The ideal candidate must possess a completed apprenticeship as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or equivalent, demonstrate thorough knowledge of hardware, software, and network connectivity, and be proficient in various operating systems including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Experience with ticketing systems and remote maintenance is beneficial, and strong cooperation and communication skills are essential for successful user support.
