Job Summary

This IT Professional role, based in Munich, involves actively supporting criminal investigation units within the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA). The core responsibilities include providing general 1st-Level IT support to end-users on-site, managing IT hardware and software through planning, installation, administration, and troubleshooting, and handling user account management for various internal and external applications. A significant part of the job involves active participation in investigations, focusing on simple programming tasks for data clearing and preparation, as well as independently planning and developing small, task-related IT projects. Candidates must possess a background in IT, strong programming knowledge (preferably Python), and excellent German language skills. This position offers a stable, full-time, and permanent contract within a supportive environment, focusing on enhancing the digital capabilities of law enforcement operations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Systems Electronics Specialist, IT Specialist) or a completed Bachelor's/Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
  • Professional experience in IT systems administration and support
  • Experience working with IT security standards and audits (Willingness to learn required)

  • Must agree to a background check in police information systems. Must consent to and successfully complete a security clearance (Art. 10 Bavarian Security Screening Act). Location constraint: Munich, Germany. Willingness to be trained in complex legal and professional frameworks.
