This role involves working in the operations and fault management center (Leitstelle Digitalfunk BOS Bayern) for the Bavarian Public Safety Digital Radio Network (BOS), ensuring 24/7 uninterrupted radio operations for approximately 500,000 emergency responders (fire, police, rescue, etc.). Day-to-day tasks include monitoring the current operational status of the digital radio system, coordinating troubleshooting efforts and technician deployments for over 1,000 sites, and acting as the First Level Support contact for users regarding service restrictions and inquiries. The position requires shift work within a flexible model. Ideal candidates possess a background in IT, telecommunications, or engineering (Bachelor/FH level) or a technical vocational qualification (e.g., IT System Electronics Technician). Key attributes sought are technical understanding of radio components, strong sense of responsibility, and proficiency in German and standard MS Office applications. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Communications Engineering, Rescue Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable field; OR completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician), ideally with further qualification as a state-certified Technician.

Experience

  • Experience in network control/network management (mobile radio / digital radio) (Desirable)
