Job Summary

This High Voltage Engineer position, located in the Cologne/Bonn area, is responsible for defining critical technical parameters and ensuring the feasibility of high voltage systems in collaboration with both customers and internal engineering teams. Day-to-day tasks include establishing electrical, thermal, and mechanical specifications in adherence to current standards, drafting detailed technical specifications, and verifying technical feasibility with the Offer & Order Engineering Lead. A key part of the role involves calculating manufacturing costs and coordinating design solutions with Order Engineering, as well as working closely with Procurement to define supplier requirements and check component availability. This role is ideal for graduates holding a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power or High Voltage Technology, although relevant professional experience is a plus. Success requires strong analytical thinking, structured work habits, and fluency (C1 level) in both German and English to effectively manage customer meetings and technical presentations.
