Job Summary

This role is situated within the accredited Toxicology Department of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich, focusing on critical forensic-toxicological analysis. The core daily responsibilities involve the qualitative and quantitative preparation of biological samples, primarily blood, urine, and stomach contents, using various extraction procedures. These samples are prepared for subsequent analysis using advanced instrumentation, including GC-MS, LC-MS, and LC-MS/TOF, for the detection of drugs and illicit substances. Furthermore, the assistant is responsible for order entry and comprehensive documentation using the laboratory information system (LIS), alongside organizing sample administration. Candidates must possess a completed technical qualification (such as MTA, CTA, BTA, or PTA) and demonstrate a meticulous, reliable, and highly organized approach.
