Job Summary
This role supports experienced colleagues in the identification, analysis, and treatment of IT vulnerabilities within the specialized department. The specialist will assist in implementing and configuring computer system requirements to detect and handle software vulnerabilities, troubleshoot standard errors in vulnerability management systems, and support the continuous development of ICT systems. Key tasks include assisting with the creation of solution approaches, drafting reports on vulnerabilities, and preparing security recommendations for the Cyber Situation Picture. Candidates must possess Austrian citizenship, reliability, and specific technical knowledge in distributed information systems, IT security concepts (CIA triad, encryption, authentication), and administration of Windows and Linux operating systems, firewalls, and network systems. This position offers an opportunity to gain foundational experience in critical IT security operations.
Required Skills
Education
HTL Informatics (Higher Technical Education Institute) or equivalent qualification, OR University degree in Informatics or comparable field
Experience
- 3 years of professional experience following completion of HTL Informatics or comparable training
- OR 1 year of professional experience following completion of a university degree in Informatics or a comparable field
- Experience with current client, server, and network systems
- Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and security systems
- Experience from qualified activities or internships outside the current department (desired)
