Job Summary

This role requires an expert to build and advance the Data Governance framework and Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate data and IT strategies. The Data Governance Architect will be responsible for defining, documenting, and implementing essential data policies, standards, and processes, while also establishing key data management roles such as Data Owner and Data Steward. A core function is guaranteeing data quality, transparency, and traceability across various systems and business units. Day-to-day activities include defining and monitoring KPIs for Data Governance success, managing metadata, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including GDPR and information security standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in data management, excellent conceptual strength, and the ability to drive change management initiatives to foster a data-driven culture within an internationally successful manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Science, Economics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of experience in data management, ideally in Data Governance, Master Data Management, or Data Strategy
  • Experience in stakeholder management and at the interface between Business and IT
