Job Summary

This role as a State-Certified Food Chemist at the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA) Stuttgart involves ensuring food safety and consumer protection, specifically within the Department T focusing on foods of animal origin. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing and analyzing food samples (meat, dairy, prepared salads, vegan/vegetarian substitutes), interpreting results, and drafting legal expert opinions and statements based on food law. The successful candidate will also be responsible for sensory testing, developing and validating analytical methods, and maintaining quality assurance within the lab. Furthermore, the role involves close collaboration and leadership of a small team of five lab employees. This position is attractive due to its interdisciplinary, complex, and responsible nature within a competent and collegiate environment, utilizing modern analytical techniques like NIR and MALDI-TOF MS.
