Job Summary

This role is a temporary position based in Bremen, focusing on quantitative analysis within the statutory health insurance sector. The specialist acts as a crucial interface, linking qualitative, quantitative, and economic supply needs between the Finance/Risk Structure Equalization and Supply Management departments. Day-to-day tasks involve identifying complex dependency structures and behavioral patterns in healthcare provision through rigorous sector-specific and cross-sector quantitative analyses. You will validate specific hypotheses, interpret results, and generate forecasts regarding potential impacts. A core responsibility is collaborating with supply management to develop and monitor control strategies, ensuring the optimization of healthcare quality and efficiency based on analytical insights. Candidates must possess a background in social insurance or a relevant degree (Statistics, Health Sciences) and practical experience managing large datasets, coupled with proficiency in SQL and analytical tools.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Social Insurance Clerk, ideally with further training as a Health Insurance Business Economist, OR a completed degree in Business Informatics, Statistics, or Business, Social, or Health Sciences with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Practical experience handling large datasets, especially from the physician, pharmaceutical, and hospital sectors
  • Professional experience in quantitative analysis of healthcare provision
  • In-depth understanding of the German Statutory Health Insurance (GKV) system
  • Knowledge of financing and distribution mechanisms (Health Fund and Risk Structure Equalization) is advantageous
