Job Summary

This role requires an IT Security Specialist to actively monitor, analyze, and secure complex IT systems, contributing significantly to the company's robust cybersecurity posture. Daily tasks involve the continuous surveillance of systems for security-relevant events, proactive identification and remediation of vulnerabilities using both manual and automated tests, and rapid response to security incidents to mitigate damage. The specialist will contribute to core services including Security Monitoring, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management, while also processing trouble tickets and implementing risk measures to evolve the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or an equivalent technical diploma, combined with a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in IT security. The position demands strong analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and high proficiency in communication for reporting the security status to management. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Telematics with a focus on IT Security, OR Technical College Diploma (HTL Matura) with a focus on IT, Telematics, Network Technology, or IT Security.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the IT Security environment
  • Experience with IT Security Standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, BSI Grundschutz) (Preferred)
  • Experience with Security Solutions (e.g., Elastic Stack, SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intelligence Platforms) (Preferred)
