Job Summary

This role as a Database Systems Specialist within the Stadtwerke Augsburg IT team is crucial for maintaining and advancing the organization's critical database infrastructure, supporting sustainable energy and mobility solutions for the region. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases, covering everything from installation to ongoing maintenance and performance optimization to guarantee high availability. Day-to-day tasks involve developing creative strategies for IT workplace evolution, integrating modern technologies, and coordinating external service providers efficiently. The specialist will also actively contribute to the continuous development of the database infrastructure and the overall IT environment. Key qualifications include a completed IT-oriented degree or vocational training, coupled with multiple years of relevant professional experience in database operations. Candidates must possess fundamental knowledge of Oracle technologies (such as RAC, SEHA, Multitenant) and experience with Oracle Linux and Windows Server.
