Job Summary

This role is for a motivated Power Plant Operator to join the energy generation team in Augsburg, Germany, contributing to the city's sustainable energy supply. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the critical monitoring and control of various electricity and heat generation facilities, including combined heat and power plants, heating plants, gas turbine BHKWs, and biomass HKWs, primarily through a process control system. The operator will also be actively involved in the maintenance, repair, and preparation of repair measures within the power plant systems, utilizing their manual skills. Key requirements include a technical apprenticeship (metalworking, electrical, or process engineering), ideally prior experience in monitoring process engineering systems, and the commitment to complete the required 4-month Power Plant Operator certification course. This position offers a secure, full-time role in shift work, actively participating in the energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

Apprenticeship/Vocational training in metalworking, electrical engineering, or process engineering (Chemistry, Heating, Sanitary, Climate) or equivalent qualification; Completion of Boiler Attendant course or willingness to pursue further training; Willingness to complete the 4-month Power Plant Operator certification course in Essen.

Experience
