Job Summary
This role involves the technical development and ongoing maintenance of the laboratory and profile database within the Soil Specialist Information System (FISBo) for the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). Key responsibilities include programming routines to connect laboratory data to the main database, developing advanced evaluation routines, and rigorously managing data quality and assurance, particularly for large projects like soil condition surveys. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Soil Science and demonstrated experience utilizing database systems and the R programming language. The position also requires supporting data analysis for advisory tasks and participating in soil field campaigns, potentially involving drone surveys. This is an indefinite, full-time position located in Hannover, offering flexible working models and continuous professional development within a critical federal advisory institution.
