Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated Chemical Technical Assistant to join the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) in Cottbus, focusing on critical water analysis within the Research and Development Center for Post-Mining Consequences (FEZB). The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day analysis of water and aqueous solutions, utilizing specialized techniques such as ICP/OES Spectrometry and Ion Chromatography, alongside Total Carbon determination (TIC/TOC). Key duties include establishing new analytical methods, ensuring rigorous quality assurance, equipment calibration, and managing data evaluation for database entry. Applicants must possess a completed CTA qualification, a strong background in inorganic water analysis, and proven experience in laboratory quality control and sample preparation. This is an immediate, permanent position offering flexible working models and the opportunity to contribute to significant governmental research on sustainable post-mining landscape management.
