Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Chemical Technical Assistant to join the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) in Cottbus, focusing on critical water analysis within the Research and Development Center for Post-Mining Consequences (FEZB). The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day analysis of water and aqueous solutions, utilizing specialized techniques such as ICP/OES Spectrometry and Ion Chromatography, alongside Total Carbon determination (TIC/TOC). Key duties include establishing new analytical methods, ensuring rigorous quality assurance, equipment calibration, and managing data evaluation for database entry. Applicants must possess a completed CTA qualification, a strong background in inorganic water analysis, and proven experience in laboratory quality control and sample preparation.
