Job Summary

This critical role supports the Federal Ministry of Health's digitalization strategy by developing the solution architecture for services and applications within the German healthcare system. The IT Architect will focus specifically on the Electronic Health Record (eCare/ePA) and the national Telematics Infrastructure (TI). Day-to-day responsibilities involve leading architectural decisions for the eCare app (integrating frontend and backend functionalities), ensuring compliance with gematik specifications for statutory health insurance funds, and collaborating closely with cross-functional product teams, external service providers, and security officers. The ideal candidate brings a background in IT architecture, proficiency in frameworks like TOGAF or arc24, and deep technical knowledge of Microservice architectures and Android/iOS app development. This position offers a challenging opportunity to shape the future digital landscape of healthcare in Germany, working within flexible, hybrid, and cross-location teams.

Completed University Degree or comparable training in IT

Experience

  • Professional experience in complex IT projects or operational processes
  • Professional experience, ideally in the context of Telematics Infrastructure
