Applications Manager | Informatiker (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the operation, administration, and continuous development of central IT applications crucial to the railway environment, such as resource planning, scheduling, and Transport Management Systems (TMS). Day-to-day tasks include planning and managing release and update processes, conducting comprehensive test management, and providing 2nd and 3rd-level support for incident analysis and requirement fulfillment. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to IT security and data protection guidelines, while also documenting systems, processes, and training materials. This position requires a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or an equivalent qualification, coupled with solid professional experience in Application Management, ideally within the rail, transport, or logistics sectors. Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes (Change, Incident, Problem Management) and a technical understanding of complex IT architectures and data integration are essential.
