Job Summary

This role supports the establishment and operation of the new Baltic Sea Marine Protection Station, implementing the state government's 'Baltic Sea Protection Action Plan 2030.' The specialist will be crucial in managing and coordinating conservation efforts for protected areas, including Natura 2000 sites, through management planning and implementation of nature conservation measures. Day-to-day tasks involve working within the project group, addressing technical marine conservation issues, and engaging with local stakeholders such as municipalities, fishing, tourism, and environmental groups. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Landscape Management), strong knowledge of nature conservation law, and expertise in marine and coastal ecosystems. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly shape and contribute to vital Baltic Sea protection initiatives within an engaged team, requiring both spatial and temporal flexibility, including readiness for evening events. The role is temporary until December 31, 2026.
