Job Summary

This critical role supports the digital capability of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by operating and modernizing one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures. The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and efficient Unified Communication (UC) services, covering both national fixed-line and mobile communication systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring central backoffice systems, performing core component configuration, troubleshooting system failures, and coordinating changes within the central collaboration solution. Candidates must possess an IT degree or equivalent qualification, coupled with five years of professional experience in Collaboration environments. Essential technical expertise includes deep knowledge of Cisco VoIP Networks, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, SIP, and SBC administration. A valid CCNP-Collaboration certification is mandatory, along with experience in automation (Ansible) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). The position requires strong analytical skills, a service-oriented approach, and fluency in both German and English.
