Job Summary

This Senior System Engineer role focuses on ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of Unified Communication (UC) services for the German Armed Forces and BWI, contributing directly to national security and digitalization efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the critical monitoring of central UC-Backoffice systems and performing complex configuration work on core components, specifically within the Cisco Collaborations suite, Cisco Meeting Server, and associated Phone/Video UC applications. A key part of the job is the detailed analysis and troubleshooting of faults, combined with the planning and coordination of necessary changes within the central collaboration solution. Candidates must possess a strong background in VoIP, holding a relevant IT degree or equivalent qualification, and crucially, the CCNP-Collaboration certification. The ideal candidate will bring five years of professional experience in the VoIP environment, deep technical knowledge of Cisco VoIP networks and UC Manager, coupled with practical experience in automation and scripting, ideally using Ansible. The role requires participation in rotating duties and on-call services.
