Job Summary

This leadership role involves steering and executing group-wide procurement activities for Primary Substation Materials across all relevant E.ON entities. Based in Dortmund, the Category Leader is responsible for managing a team of 10 employees (disciplinary and functional) and developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies in close cooperation with the E.ON Supply Chain, technical stakeholders, and logistics. Day-to-day tasks include conducting international market analyses, defining tender plans, negotiating with key service providers, and overseeing supplier and contract management. A core focus is on achieving identified value creation and savings targets through cost optimization tools and the continuous standardization of substation component specifications. Candidates must possess a degree in Economics or Engineering, coupled with extensive experience in strategic procurement or network-relevant planning and operations, along with proven functional leadership experience in international, cross-location category teams. The position requires strong analytical skills, a structured approach, and fluency in both German and English.
