Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Technology Engineer to drive the future of the power distribution grid at Westnetz GmbH, Germany's largest distribution grid operator. You will focus on advancing key technologies, especially in sensor systems and smartification, to enhance operational safety, efficiency, and automation. Day-to-day tasks include technology scouting, conducting tests on innovative solutions in early development stages, and creating strategic concepts for deploying digital technologies in close cooperation with operational departments. You will lead and moderate working groups and projects, transforming successful technological solutions into scalable products integrated into the classic operational environment. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering and possesses professional experience in power distribution grids and energy technology, coupled with strong knowledge of digitalization and smartification processes, and proven skills in both classical and agile project management.
