Job Summary
This permanent position requires a dedicated Technician specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) to join the Institute for Metallic Materials (IMW) at IFW Dresden. Day-to-day responsibilities involve taking charge of multiple laboratories focused on thin-film coatings. This includes the crucial tasks of setting up, maintaining, and repairing various ALD reactors and associated Glove Boxes. The specialist will collaborate closely with researchers, actively supporting scientific projects and applying technical expertise to advanced material development in areas such as semiconductor technology and thermoelectrics. Candidates must possess a completed professional qualification as a state-certified Technician or Technical Assistant, ideally focused on Chemistry or Materials Science. Success in this international, interdisciplinary research setting demands excellent teamwork, analytical thinking, professional conflict management, and strong written and spoken English skills.
