Job Summary

This role as a High Voltage Grid Network Strategy and Planning Engineer, based in Schwerin for WEMAG Netz GmbH, involves developing crucial strategies and concepts for the expansion and modification of the high-voltage network, prioritizing load and feed-in developments, especially concerning renewable energy (EEG) plants. Day-to-day tasks include commissioning new projects, controlling their technical and economic implementation, and contributing to the annual construction program and forecasts. The engineer will serve as a key contact for network operation issues, coordinate with transmission system operators, and support complex network calculations and studies. Essential qualifications include a university degree in Electrical Engineering, strong conceptual and organizational skills, proficiency with Network Information Systems, databases, MS Office, and extensive knowledge of German energy legislation (EnWG, EEG). The position offers excellent work-life balance with a 38-hour flexible week and 30 days of vacation.
